Since I am a follower, I must post my completed tree also. I loved everyone elses pics, way better than mine. I had to forgo the Martha Stewart garland. I started to make it but it took way too long. I wish I had her people at my disposal. It was beautiful garland, if your every on bed rest you should make it :). It's a piece of stale popcorn, yellow raisin, crazin, yellow raisin, piece of popcorn, repeat the pattern. Here's to the Holidays!!!!

Claire Is A Cat Lover

Claire spent the whole vacation chasing and carrying Grandma's kitties!!! She was so sad to leave them behind. I don't think the feeling was mutual.

We Had So Much Fun!!

Yesterday, as you can see our car was loaded. Poor Claire!!! The grueling 11 hour trip is finally over. I Love My Bed!!!! We are so glad we got to spend a week with Dylan's parents it was definately worth the 11 hours!!!

If you ever visit northern New Mexico you have to visit our most FAVORITE place. We go there every time we visit. Rancho de Chimayo. The best mexican you have EVER had.

Sunday, we visited the very small Espanola ward. I have never seen anything like it. We also visited Grampa great!!!! I don't think Claire could quite figure out the whole nursing home thing.

Saturday, we donned our warm apparel and headed to the mountains for a Christmas Tree!!! Dylan loves doing this. I do not. I tried to enjoy it, but hiking around in the freezing cold looking at a million different trees with a crying three year old isn't my idea of fun. It was beautiful and I wish I would have taken a picture of the great tree the manly men hauled off the mountain.

Friday we woke up to snow!!! Darlene and I hit all the good sales. Claire, Ron and Dylan built a Snow Bunny. We only had one small disappointment on this trip, our beloved Boise State lost to Hawaii. Friday night we went to bed bummed.

Thursday we had a wonderful Thanksgiving Dinner. Dylan grossed himself out carving his first Turkey. He didn't want to each too much after that!! We also watched a lot of Football.
Wednesday, Dylan and I visited the square in Santa Fe!!! Lots of cool art galleries, handmade jewelry stores and Coldwater Creek, where I fell in love with a sweater.

Tuesday we had the most beautiful day at the Albequerque Temple!!! What can I say it was amazing.

Monday we visitied the surrounding Indian Pueblos. Dylans parents live very close, almost on one. We also ate good mexican food.

It was beautiful when we finally got there!!!!

The car ride was long and tiring!!!

Calling All Crock Pots!!!!

I have searched high and low this fine autumn day for an old crock pot. Why is there no Deseret Industries in Texas?? The re-sale places are fine and dandy, but I am 99% sure that if I visited a D.I. today I would have in my posession the old crock pot I have been looking for. So if you or anyone you know have an old crock pot wasting shelf space let me know. I need to dip some candles ASAP!!

Just Thought You Would Like To Compare Me and Dylan

you are yellow
#FFFF00

Your dominant hues are red and green, so you're definately not afraid to get in and stir things up. You have no time for most people's concerns, you'd rather analyze with your head than be held back by some random "gut feeling".

Your saturation level is very high - you are all about getting things done. The world may think you work too hard but you have a lot to show for it, and it keeps you going. You shouldn't be afraid to lead people, because if you're doing it, it'll be done right.

Your outlook on life is very bright. You are sunny and optimistic about life and others find it very encouraging, but remember to tone it down if you sense irritation.

Wow, our saturation level is exactly the same. Our outlooks in life are very different. I think that might be why our marriage is always so full of excitement.

Whew, What A Relief!!!!

I tried acetone on my comforter and sheets after the nail polish incident. IT WORKS!!!! Thank goodness. If you try this just be careful what you put it on, because acetone is a very harsh chemical and it like to eat anything with plastic in it.

Wow This Really Works!!!

It's interesting how these things really get you. It's even funny that dark cyann has become one of my favorite colors lately. My favorite colors are always changing.

you are darkcyan

Your dominant hues are green and blue. You're smart and you know it, and want to use your power to help people and relate to others. Even though you tend to battle with yourself, you solve other people's conflicts well.

Your saturation level is very high - you are all about getting things done. The world may think you work too hard but you have a lot to show for it, and it keeps you going. You shouldn't be afraid to lead people, because if you're doing it, it'll be done right.

Your outlook on life can be bright or dark, depending on the situation. You are flexible and see things objectively.

To Detox or not to Detox?

Okay, for the last eight weeks I have been working hard to lower my cholesterol. On Monday, I am having my blood work done to see if I have been successful. A friend of mine suggested this herbal detox tea and said it worked for her husband in lowering his cholesterol. I started detoxing today. No unusual side effects so far, but it smells like pee and tastes like fiery licorice. I was telling a friend of mine that I was going to do this and she asked "Why isn't it like your tricking the doctor?"

I don't know what to think. I have drastically changed my eating habits, I have even lost weight, and I definitely do not want to be put on medication, if I'm pregnant(which is the whole goal here) I can't take the medication anyway.

What do you think I am I just tricking the test, or am I just taking one more precaution to cleanse my body?

Yesterday was fingernail polish Today was vaseline!!!!

What am I ever going to do with this child? Now she's corrupting other children too?

The Only Thing to Look Forward to in the Week

Yesterday was playgroup again. We got to go the the Fisher's Farm. Claire loved it. She loved feeding the cows the bread. Swinging on the swing set. Picking green beans and pecans (she calls them shecans)and saying Hi to the horse. This kid was meant to live on a farm.

Claire's Creativity is KILLING me!!!!!!

I just found my three-year old, who was supposedly taking a nap in my bed, sitting in the sink of my bathroom. There was fingernail polish all over the tile floor, the scale, the wall, the carpet, my favorite sheets, my new comforter, Claire and her clothes.

Unfortunately, this is not the first time something like this has happened. Claire has a knack for decorating. Her works of art are my worst mothering and cleaning nightmares. Permanent marker all over the guest room. Play dough smooshed on the living room walls, you name it she has done it. I don't know how to make her understand she can't do things like that. I've tried taking things away, sitting her on the naughty spot, sitting her in her room, the ever so shameful spanking, etc. Nothing seems to faze her.

I am definitely at my wits end, and minutes ago I even heard myself say, "Just wait until your father gets home."

Whats that little fork for?

For activity days this evening we talked about etiquette and what things are in a formal place setting. I wish I had a photo of the girls faces as we discussed this topic. They looked at me like I was crazy. Unfortunately formal dining has truly become a lost art. I was also talking to eight and nine year old girls who could really care less.

Its finally finsihed. The Rexburg temple open house begins December 29th. I am so sad that I won't be able to be there for the dedication. I miss Rexburg. But I am not missing the weather at all!!!!

Our Monday Project!

It's always interesting when Dylan and I do projects together. We think we communicate well until we work together. Our personalities when it comes to completing tasks are too much the same. We both want to be in control and both thinks the other person knows what the other is thinking. Needless to say, after wiping on five coats and cleaning off four, and an hour of frustration later. Here is our finished product. I still have mixeds feelings about the results. Dylan says he likes it, but I think he just wanted to be done.

I purchased this vinyl lettering from http://writings-onthewall.com/ they were great to work with. Check out their website.
