I Betrayed My Family

I finally got up the guts and went to vote today. I was still undecided when I got there, and when the policeman directing people inside asked me Republican or Democrat I said, "I haven't decided." He said, "Well I can't decide for you, so which one is it?" I went for the gusto and voted Democrat. (Their line was also the shortest) :) I felt like such a traitor. Sorry, to all you democrats, I don't think your traitors, I just have been raised strictly republican. When I was finished I had to call home and confess my sins to my mother. So, I picked the lesser of all evils, and voted for Obama. I hope this is something I won't be accountable for at Judgement day. I really did the best I could.

You are a traitor JK - for making me feel bad for not voting - I should have, but couldn't bring myself to pick any option on either side!!!

I voted for Obama too ... something about Hillary makes me break out in full body shivers ... I think it might be Bill. lol.

I feel like I would have wasted my vote if I had voted Republican. Call me crazy.

I may be moving to Canada. They have socialization down already. I don't want to live here while they attempt it...:)

I know a lot of Republicans here who voted Democrat in the primary just to prevent Hillary from winning. I think that you did a good thing.

You have to vote the lesser of three evils...even if that means crossing party lines. (Let's just say me and my madre see differently too). But, they have to love us no matter what, right?

My mother was totally supportive, she said she was probably going to do the same thing too, in MAY!(Idaho votes so late) My Dad is the one to worry about.

I think Dad is actually leaning that way too. He's just worried about voting democrat and how it will affect the local elections, cause there are always so many republicans running the Primaries are soooo important to him.
