What Does Dylan Do???

I have had lots of people ask me lately what my husband does for a living. When I think about it I don't know what most of my friends husbands do.

Well, Dylan is a part-owner (a very small part) and operator of Treasurewood Unfinished Furniture. He's been working for Treasurewood for almost nine years now. He manages employees, makes customers happy, negotiates with vendors, finishes furniture and sells stuff like this:

and this:

He also designs custom pieces of furniture, like this: that's our entertainment center--that's why it looks so messy :D

My husband also makes his own furniture, when he has spare time (and a nice wife) which hasn't been happening very often lately. Sorry babe. He's made our family, bookcases, coffee tables, piano benches, CD cases, he made his parents the MOST beautiful entertainment console I have ever seen-- it took almost a year to complete. We've also completed many re-finishing projects together, that's a lot of hard work.

I am married to a very talented man. He can sell ice to Eskimos and can fix ANYTHING--pretty much Tim the Tool man :D

So there you go, what does your husband do???

So good to know! Everyone once in awhile you are looking for a customized piece of furniture and now I know who to go to.

That is VERY cool!!! I would love the perk of the nice furniture:)

YOu asked--so I'll tell what I know. Steve is part owner in a company trying to write- then launch an online video game. He heads up the Dallas office while the other part of the company is based in a Louisiana. He is a computer programmer but right now he is the Manager. This was his dream so he is trying to make it come true and getting a lot of experience along the way if it fails. They are funded by a few investors.

It's all about paint for my man. Ask How, Ask Now....Ask Sherwin Williams.

He works really hard but occasionally I see him leaving the house with golf clubs and calling it work.

Well for now my man is a program manager for a website company that hosts car dealership webistes. No cool perks for us :( And just for the record, Car Dealership owners are some of the worst people in the world to work with, especially when they are upset about something!!!

If you ask any of my hubby's friends, they'll tell you Jon works for the city as a "street cleaner" --- since you know his real profession already, you might find the humor in that ;)

You already know what Gary does ... floors. For the rest of y'all, if you ever need any flooring (carpet, tile, wood, vinyl, travertine, anything of any kind) ... call my husband. He's got installers in his back pocket and he'll literally save you thousands. Just ask Sarah ...

I had no idea, Sarah... very cool! As for my hubby, he argues, threatens, and sues people all day. Just kidding. Well, he does some of that, but business litigation usually consists more of writing up contracts and boring stuff like that. I hope none of you ever need a lawyer, but if you do, I know a really GOOD one!

Brian works in IT and fixes all things computers. He does know how to program (a little bit) and do web design and computer animation. All of which he occasionally does on the side to fund the purchase of more electronics.
But in a month and a half Brian will be a student again at BYU! And he will not be allowed to work- seriously! He signed a contract!
