Birthday Dinner Destroys Diet!!!!

Just kidding my diet wasn't destroyed-- just, hmmm, altered????
Dinner
4 pieces pita bread
1 tsp hummus
1 Tbsp spicy couscous
1 tsp artichoke cheese fondue
3 bacon wrapped dates (these are to die for)
1 piece prosciutto wrapped asparagus
1/4 of roasted potato
1 bite of hanger steak with blue cheese sauce
1 bite of chicken kabob w/yogurt sauce
1/2 piece German Chocolate cake
1/4 c blackberry cobbler ice cream

I told Dylan that all I wanted for my birthday was to take my family here. It is my favorite. Unfortunately all self control goes out the window. The excuse was my birthday, but as you can see from my food journal, I tried everything and it was GOOD :D

Back to eating right again!

All of that sounds divine! And happy birthday! Great minds must think alike because my birthday is next week and all I want is to go out to some nice Indian restaurant. I remember that England has the best Indian food! I wouldn't mind going to that restaurant that you went to also-it sounds so good!

Tyler had a fun Birthday, I'm glad you did, too!!! I would have given up everything else on the list for the whole German Chocolate cake and the Cobbler. And maybe a bite of the steak. Or two. Is the whole fam damily there!? I'm so excited for you! I'm glad you didn't diet on your special day!

Happy Happy Birthday! And don't diets automatically NOT apply for B'Day meals? I think it is an unspoken rule. :)

So is that place a Spanish restaurant? I'd assume so by the name but not by the menu choices... hmmm...Dan served in Spain and so with his 30th B'Day coming up in November I should probably find a good Spanish restaurant to take him to...

We LOVE Cafe Malaga! I recently went out to lunch with my college roommate and was telling her all about it. I mentioned the phrase "tapas bar" and she gave me the strangest shock-and-awe look ever. (And she's given me some doosies over the years.) She thought I'd said that we went to a "topless bar" and thought of all people she knows I would be the least likely to go to one of those. I cleared up the confusion right away -- obviously!! Happy late birthday, Sarah!! :)
