This sort of thing ain't my bag, baby.

First, name the movie this posts title came from. Second, I fell in love with Amy Butler a few months ago. So, when I found out that I won fabric from a Sew Mam Sew Free Fabric Friday giveaway, I knew Amy Butler was in the cards. When my fabric arrived I was ecstatic-- except, I had no pattern. While visiting the outlet mall with the fam, I stumbled upon a bag on clearance, that was somewhat like the Frenchy Bag. I purchased it. All day yesterday, I examined that bag, and last night when I couldn't sleep, I got up and started tracing, measuring, and cutting fabric. I know the bags aren't exact, remember I'm very much a novice at this, but I am pretty pleased with my accomplishment. Cheers to Amy, cute stuff, and inspiration :D

Ohhh! That bag is so great. I love that Amy Butler fabric. I want to get that same print in red and make Christmas stockings, I think. That's about as good as I get with sewing...blankies and stockings :) Needless to say, I think you're amazing. We should trade off painting skills and sewing skills, what do you think? :)

OK I got the word verification wrong the first two times, 'cuz I'm dumb like that. Let's try again.

SUPER cute Sarah! I could use a cool "school bag" for myself {giggle} ... not that I'm excited or anything.

Wow, that is really an adorable bag! And freehand? Without any pre-made pattern? I'm feeling the next enrichment activity... Nevermind (I work Tuesday's) - how about a playdate tutorial? SO CUTE!
