For Nie Nie

Many of you have heard
about the
tragedy that the
Nielsen Family
is living through right now.
If you haven't,
Stephanie and Christian Nielsen
were two of three passengers
involved in a plane crash
August 16th, almost two weeks ago
these young parents of four were horribly
injured and burned.
The other passenger did not survive.
For more info on the accident
check here.
First, I must say that I cannot believe how this accident has
affected me. I don't know this family personally,
I've only read NieNie's blog a few times,
but daily
I am tuned in to her sister's, Cjane.
When I heard the news, it was and still is
as if it had happened to
my sister.
The blogging world has decided
to raise money for this family
as treatment and
expenses will be phenomenal.
I, along with many others
in blogland
will be hosting a
Silent Auction.
It will begin
Midnight,
Wednesday night
(or Thursday morning, depending on how you like to think of it)
I will be auctioning
a one of a kind
BAG
and an
Altered Board Book
The proceeds for this auction will be paid to
the
Start thinking
Christmas presents ladies :D
I will post the rules and other info Wednesday.
If you would like to see the many others who are
participating
check here, or here.
I am so excited--
I hope you are too!!!

Sarah, I am touched by your willingness to reach out and serve a person that you don't even know like that. I could tell you what a rare quality it is to find someone who will give and find ways to serve, even when you are going through things of your own, (oh I guess I just did!) but know that I believe that it is a beautiful, admirable quality, and I believe that our Savior knows it too! One of the MANY reasons I love and admire you so much!

Dito to everything Andrea said. You are a very selfless person and I will always consider you a great friend. What a great cause to help a family out in need. With so many accidents going on in blog world ..It makes you realize how precious life is.

Andrea said it best. I've been known to throw in the PTO towel ... uh, just recently actually. I will most DEFINITELY be scoping out your stuff to help raise money for the family. I've had this happen to me before as it has you - you see something or read something that just yanks at your heart strings and the Lord is speaking to you to help them somehow, and in some way no matter how small. Good for you for having your "God-Ears" on :)
